Welcome, new and returning Oak Crest Middle School Band families, to the 2017-2018 Oak Crest Music Program! Whether your student will be playing an instrument for the very first time, or is already an experienced musician, Oak Crest Music will provide opportunities for your student to nourish his or her love of music. We have a great year planned for our Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and after-school Jazz Band students!

The operating costs for the Music Program this year are estimated at $25,000. The majority of this expense goes to coaches who work with our student musicians to help them develop their skills, as well as for curriculum, and maintenance/purchase of equipment.

Although we seek additional resources through grant opportunities when available, our band families are the primary source of funding to make the program a success.

Recommended donation for Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble is $200 per student, and $150 for Jazz Band students. If we receive a donation from every family, we will fund 75% of our budget for the 2017-18 year, allowing us to focus on general fundraising for the balance of our funding needs.

Families who make a Principal Chair Donation (donations of $300-$500) receive the following:

*Front row parking for one(1) vehicle Winter or Spring Concerts
*Front row seating for four(4) at Winter and Spring Concerts

Families who make a Maestro Donation (donations of more than $500) receive the following:

*Front row parking for one(1) vehicle both Winter and Spring Concerts
*Front row seating for four(4) for both Winter and Spring Concerts
*Complimentary Winter and Spring Concert DVDs and 8×10 band group photo (if available)

Remember, your donation is a tax deduction, under tax ID number 33-0004167.

Please check with your employer as many corporations offer matching programs for donations. Your employer will provide instructions and forms to be filled out. Attached is a tax letter that you may need to submit to complete your matching request.

About Us

TBand3he Music Boosters are parents of Oak Crest music students who are working to support Oak Crest’s music programs – Beginning Band, Symphonic/Advanced Band, and the Jazz Band. We are the primary source of funding for the music programs. We raise money each year to pay for music coaches, instruments, repairs, and performance expenses, and we strive to ensure that all students are able to participate in all activities. Please support our student musicians by donating to the foundation.

Working closely with the Music Director, we coordinate the organization and support our many music events and performances throughout the school year. Our Music Boosters Board meets monthly and we welcome you to join us!
